“hennessy: for the culture” exhibition, somerset house

Exploring the origins and influence of the UK’s most provocative and exciting music scene, Grime, this installation displays archival Hennessy imagery alongside recent music industry props, with video and individual sound-stations featuring interviews, quotes and music from influential figures from 1920s Jazz to contemporary Grime. The two distinct spaces, in monochrome black and white, emphasise the intrinsic link with the Hennessy drink and Black music creativity in the UK.
