Goldsmiths’ Fair is recognised internationally as the premier showcase in the UK for contemporary designer jewellery and silver. As part of this year's fair we were asked to design, build and install several installations to showcase different areas of the fair.
Erin O'Connor Selects was an installation to display the world-famous supermodel's selection of 23 pieces from the fair as her role as guest-curator. The display featured printed textures, geometric shapes and bespoke-made concrete forms.
Barbara Cartlidge and Electrum Gallery: A Passion for Jewellery, an exhibition of fine jewellery by the pioneering Berlin-born British entrepreneur and designer-maker Barbara Cartlidge.
Silver: The Dark Side was a special display of new and recent work from some of the UK’s most exciting silversmiths and jewellers, featuring striking pieces with black oxidised silver surfaces, plating and non-precious metals. The display was installed into what was previously an unused, awkward space. Special attention was paid to creating an exhibit full of drama and subtlety.
